Die nationale Vereinigung der Landkreise/Bezirke "The National Association of Counties (NACo)" , wurde schon 1935 gegründet und ist die einzige staaliche Einrichtung für "counties"!
Das gesamte Staatsgebiet der USA ist in 3.068 counties eingeteilt!!
